Welcome to Aruba Steve’s

I’m Steven Correa, a Caribbean transplant living in Rhode Island. My father is from the Netherlands Antilles and my mother is American. I grew up in Curacao and after studying Hospitality Management at the, University of New Hampshire, I went to Aruba to work with my family in the restaurant business. While there, I met a lovely tourist from Rehoboth, MA. To make a long story short, four years later we got married and I moved to Providence. I bought an existing bar in Providence and converted it into my One Happy Bar.  Now after the success of my first endeavor,  my goal is to add tropical color and warmth to the New England restaurant scene by creating a totally new and exciting restaurant with a true island feel in Warren Rhode Island.

With my extensive Aruban restaurant experience and my Johnson and Wales trained Executive Chef, Jonathan Shumate, we combined forces to create ” Aruba Steve’s Island Grill,”  an authentic tropical themed restaurant/bar in Warren Rhode Island.

Aruba Steve’s, located at 520 Main Street in historic downtown Warren, RI; features a variety of tropical specialties. Ranging from our version of the world famous “Best Ribs in the Caribbean” sold at Smokey Joe’s in Aruba, to tender Mahi-Mahi Bites. Seafood Paella (served for two) and of course the local Portuguese style Little-Necks.

In addition to the island cuisine, we feature a hand crafted cocktail menu. From Iguana Joe’s in Aruba you’ll find the refreshing Aruba Ariba, and Happy Tourist. We’ve also added our own signature concoctions; the Seaglass, and Swizzle to name two.
